I was so excited to have a month of healing and normalcy. Unfortunately, just a week after the surgery to remove my tumor, I started to have a great deal of pain in my back. Posture? The new recliner Bill bought me? Lack of movement? What?
After several days of trying different things, and it getting worse each day, I realized that I had a kidney stone that had been developing for a year (and had showed up on one of my most recent scans), and it could be shifting, causing my back pain. Aaargh!
Several days later, I was getting so brittle from relentless pain, and I asked Bill to give me a priesthood blessing. He asked, “What are you hoping for?” “Relief from the back pain”, of course. Bill spoke the words. God performed the miracle. Within minutes, my back was fine, and I was able to sleep.
The gift of instant healing. It’s indescribable.
Two days later, I had another x-ray to find the kidney stone, then an appointment with the kidney doctor. It was gone!
Divine lithotripsy! God is so good.
I like the illustration you used for that one. I’m just now reading all of your blogs. so many thoughts go through my mind. The most disturbing part is, I have no idea what to say. I love you, Tina.
Anyone who’s had a kidney stone will appreciate that picture, I think!
Kidney stones are no joke! My dad has a medicine bottle in his bathroom with about 45 little pebbles in it. He says he’s saving them up to pave a road!
Each one of those is (like) a diamond. Expensive and mined under intense pressure.
